The Platinum Charger by A-solar is the winner of the red dot award: Product Design 2011 in the category Leisure, Outdoor and Sports.

The red dot design award is the biggest and most distinguished design competition in the world with over 4433 entries from 60 countries. The criteria the jury used to judge the entries are functionality, sustainability, ecological factors but above all innovation and quality. Previous winners include Apple, BMW and Adidas.

The red dot design award is a very prestigious price for designers and is awarded every year for the best international design performances.
